The PresSura Room Pressure Controller Model RPC30 is a device designed to maintain a constant pressure differential in hospital rooms, specifically in Airborne Infection Isolation (AII) Rooms, Protective Environment (PE) Rooms, and Operating Rooms (ORs). It uses a thermal-based pressure sensor for accurate, precise, and stable measurements of room pressure, temperature, and relative humidity. The Model RPC30 controls a damper or valve to maintain a safe pressure differential as the specialized room conditions might change.
The device features audible and visual alarms that warn staff of unsafe conditions, and meets various standards such as ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170-2013, Ventilation of Health Care Facilities, Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI), Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Health Care Facilities, and United States Pharmacopeia (USP), General Chapter <797>, Guidebook to Pharmaceutical Compounding – Sterile Preparations.
The Model RPC30 can seamlessly integrate into building automation systems via BACnet or Modbus and has an easy-to-read color touch screen display for simple visual indication of room status. It also accepts keys witch to change room mode to neutral/no isolation, and passwords prevent unauthorized access to monitor functions. The device is compatible for use with PresSura NSD8 Nurses Station Monitor for easy central monitoring of all of the pressure sensors in an area.
